Total Dynamic Head
This calculator finds the pressure required at the pump, and the head that the pump must generate. The total dynamic head is the pressure required at the pump, but also needs to take into consideration if the water supply pressure is already pressurized.
The total dynamic head is the total pressure when water is flowing in the system. It includes pressure needed to overcome elevation differences, and friction losses in the pipes in order to produce a required operating pressure at the outlets.
